I felt it important that people didn’t treat my weight loss hypnosis CD as any other diet regime; this was something to change for life, not a temporary crash diet.

Both direct and indirect hypnotic suggestions are powerful in themselves. Some might say that direct suggestions are clearer, more authoritarian, or delivered in a more forceful manner. Some people might also say this is the more traditional method of suggestion in hypnosis.

Continued learning is very important. Whether it’s a book, a DVD, or a seminar, I continue to learn and read about hypnosis practices as part of my continued professional development. There’s always a new perspective or way of looking at things.

IBS and many stomach problems can be unwound by the calming techniques on the IBS hypnosis CD. Many people have found it freeing to listen to a CD and have fewer visits to the doctor than to be stuck and trapped in the turmoil of IBS.

Distractions in hypnotherapy are common. Sometimes in one-on-one hypnotherapy sessions with my clients we can hear the traffic outside a bit. I know it may sound silly, but you can turn those distractions into calming sounds

It’s important to point out that the hypnotherapist/client relationship is not a controlling one. At least, it shouldn’t be. Your hypnotherapist is not the boss. Successful hypnosis is definitely a teamwork affair.
