There’s Always Something You Can Do

Sign Saying "Do Something"The majority of people who come to see me for hypnotherapy feel ‘stuck’ in their current behavior and it’s my job to help motivate and facilitate the client to find a solution to their problem. If your profession is a car mechanic and your car broke down, you would most probably be able to mend and fix the vehicle. However, if you are not qualified and experience in mechanics, you would most probably, ask for help.

There are many people who feel they have no choice but to behave in a certain way in a given situation or circumstances. For instance, nail biting – often before the person realizes what they are doing, the nails are short and sore. Or nerves before an exam – the person will prepare and feel confident enough to do the exam, but when the times comes, all the correct answers they learned seems to have drifted out in the ether. Anxiety got the better, again. Sometimes, no matter how much you try to do something else, automatic pilot takes over, and this is the only choice; deal with it the same way you always have and always will.

But, what about if I were to tell you, ‘if you are stuck and feel that you have no choice, there is always another way to deal with it – you’re just not aware of an alternative at the moment’.

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy helps you to reach the parts of the mind you are not consciously aware of at the moment, helping you to use more of your own strengths and resources. It is a very similar state of awareness to that of meditation, only with hypnotherapy you can be more constructive, motivated and goal orientated.

What usually happens is you replace anxious thoughts with more relaxed and resourceful ways of thinking; finding lots more interesting and creative ways to react to a behavior which in the past caused a problem. And the nail biters now file their nails and feel comfortable with the results. These resources can also ‘flood’ into other parts of your life, your mind begins to think ‘well, if I can do that, what else can I achieve?’ It becomes curious and so the positive results you achieve from listening regularly to our self-hypnosis recording, becomes a strong foundation for change within your life.
