Continued learning is very important. Whether it’s a book, a DVD, or a seminar, I continue to learn and read about hypnosis practices as part of my continued professional development. There’s always a new perspective or way of looking at things.

Distractions in hypnotherapy are common. Sometimes in one-on-one hypnotherapy sessions with my clients we can hear the traffic outside a bit. I know it may sound silly, but you can turn those distractions into calming sounds

It’s important to point out that the hypnotherapist/client relationship is not a controlling one. At least, it shouldn’t be. Your hypnotherapist is not the boss. Successful hypnosis is definitely a teamwork affair.

The ideal hypnotherapy client has to be interested, motivated, and committed to change. They should seek out hypnosis on their own accord and not be coerced into it by friends or partners.
