Changing Belief Systems
Beliefs, especially our core beliefs, are very important. By core beliefs I mean the beliefs we likely developed as young children, not all of which were necessarily developed under the best circumstances. Regardless, these are the beliefs we have about ourselves. They are essentially our identity. They define who we think we are, what we can and can’t do, and why we should or shouldn’t do it. We hold all these beliefs at an unconscious level whether we realise it or not. Because hypnosis works specifically at this unconscious level it is an extremely powerful medium for changing belief systems.
One-on-one hypnosis is likely the best way to change core beliefs because it is much more interactive and has the ability to be more specific. However, my hypnosis recordings are very powerful tools themselves. It may take a bit longer with recorded hypnosis, but that’s to be expected. Some people might find that recorded hypnosis sessions may not cause the complete shift in thinking they’re looking for, but only a partial change in their beliefs. If that’s the case then it’s a good indication that it’s time to visit a hypnotherapist.
People often ask the question, ‘Can belief systems be totally transformed using hypnosis?’ My answer to this question is always a resounding yes. Of course, everyone will have his or her own unique response to hypnosis. Some people will experience changes very quickly, while others make take a longer period of time to see the effects. Either way, the change does occur. For most people, once they realise they can change it becomes an ongoing process. Seeing the change paves the way for further work in hypnosis and we can continue making changes throughout our life.
Our belief systems are what help us operate. They determine how we think, feel, and behave. If you feel that your belief systems are holding you back or are not supportive of whom you truly think you are or want to be, you don’t have to just live with it. You can change your core beliefs with the help of hypnosis.
