Finding Time for Self-Hypnosis

Generally, with the lifestyle that most people live today, the last thing people want is to, slow down. The pace often needs to stay the same so they can accomplish just what they set out to do – whether it be the day at work, the school run, an important event, or whatever…

I thought it might be an idea to come up with a few hints and tips of how you can fit your self-hypnosis into your busy day because to be quite frank, if you want to achieve any kind of result, you need to make the time. But where can you fit it in?

So, we are literally talking about 20 minutes of your 24 hour day.

  • Whilst I strongly recommend you do not listen to a self-hypnosis CD whilst driving or operating machinery; have you thought about playing it in the car whilst you are parked with the engine turned off, somewhere safe and quiet? You could be early for an appointment or waiting for someone – try it and see! It is a way of constructively using up any possible spare time.
  • To get the full experience from your self-hypnosis CD (or hypnosis download), I recommend you get into the habit of listening to your recording, rather like going to sleep on an evening and waking in the morning. Why not make a habit of listening to your self-hypnosis session just before going to sleep? Or, just as you wake up? A healthy way to start of finish your day.
  • When it comes to listening to your self-hypnosis session, put yourself first. Make spare time – this may require effort and organisation on your part – but remember, you’re worth it!
  • If you are planning on watching something on television, sit down 20 minutes or so before it is due to start. Listen to your self-hypnosis session and then enjoy your programme.

Basically, finding time to do your self-hypnosis is up to you – if you haven’t got the time or cannot find it – one does wonder whether you should buy one in the first place. However, if you do want to change something within your life, the first step is to make time to do it – for you!
