Self Confidence vs. Self Esteem

Our self confidence and self esteem hypnosis sessions are both very similar; however they do go hand in hand. Lots of people buy both CDs or MP3 downloads to help boost not only how they feel about themselves, but also, to find the belief that they are worth all the effort.

To differentiate between the two; self confidence is about building a foundation of trust in yourself; self reliance and the confidence to solve problems without having to rely on others as much as you have in the past.

The self-esteem hypnosis CD/MP3 download is based upon how critical you might be of yourself and will help you to turn around the low feelings you experience when you do not value your own decisions. It helps you find way to praise yourself and like your individuality as a person in your own right.

Here at HypnoShop.com we have separated the two because some people feel they need to learn to like themselves more, so they purchase the self-esteem CD/MP3 download. Others find they know they have the ability to achieve something, but have not quite got the self-belief to go ahead and do it. They buy the self confidence hypnosis CD/MP3 download.

Both the self confidence and self esteem hypnosis recordings can be purchased in CD or MP3 format, together or separately. However, as many of our customers have told us, they do compliment each other.

Think Yourself Well with a Positive Mental Attitude

How do you live your life if you truly believe you are a well person? What if you honestly believe your antibodies for fighting infection are so strong they fend off many colds and viruses? What do you do with the free time now you’re well?

If you live your life going to the doctors and popping pills all the time or maybe you feel you have got the age where you expect not to be so strong, there are ways you can change things around.

Listening to our general health and wellbeing hypnosis CD or MP3 download (or any of the self-hypnosis sessions we make) enables you to make the pattern of change a part of your life.  Once you have started a new way of thinking, feeling and behaving, it can become a good habit. It’s all about developing a positive mental attitude!

Self-hypnosis is a simple tool, yet people often fail to use it and rely upon outside props such as smoking and drinking to get them through difficulties. Searching on the outside is not your answer, the tools you need for change are within you and the best way to access them is by listening to a self-hypnosis CD or MP3 download recording and really making way for a healthy life and a successful future.

Confident Sometimes, But Not Always – Why?

Sarah went to college and studied Biology; she was very good at understanding everything there was about this subject and moved on to go to university for her degree. She had gained experience of study, research, speaking and demonstrating within her classes and sitting examinations.

Whenever she was with a number of people from her group, she joined in conversation and chatted confidently. Whenever she spent time with people who also showed similar interests as she did, Sarah felt confident enough to join in. However, strange though it may seem, at break times, when it came to making a decision about what to choose to eat from the menu or where to sit in the café, she crumbled. Her confidence seemed to slip away from her and she felt very embarrassed. Not that anyone was looking at her; but she felt very unsure of herself in those circumstances.

Another example is that of Robert who successfully ran his own business as a carpenter. He knew everything there was to know about wood and carpentry; he had lots of customers and his work could not be faulted. However, take him out the context which he knew – for instance a social event, and his confidence seemed to falter. Yet, we could say he had experiencing of socialising because he had to meet customers and they were strangers to start with – so where do things go wrong?

Sarah made lots of decisions within her studies – she decided which subject to study, which chair to sit on, who to sit next to, when to speak and when to do her studies at home. So, how come she couldn’t use the same strategies when she felt less confident?

Basically, both of them could, they were just not consciously aware of how to bring things together at an unconscious level. Sarah had an unpleasant childhood experience which lead to her lack of confidence – we worked with that at my Harley Street clinic and now she continues to listen to the self confidence hypnosis CD. She feels so much more confident with herself now in all areas of her life.

Robert started listening to our confidence self-hypnosis CD to develop new ways of behaving by using the visualization techniques. He has found the comfortable feeling he has when speaking with his customers and applies it to all social engagements.

Mental Rehearsal and Hypnosis

Have you ever woke up on a morning and thought, ‘oh, it’s gonna be one of those days’ – and as they day goes on, it is, one of those days – just as you thought? You were right. Well done.

Or what about when you get that feeling when you just know something is going to turn out the way it did. ‘Oh, I thought that would happen’? And it does.

Whether it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy or mental rehearsal, you achieved your desired outcome, successfully. Well done.

This is a great tool to have, because if we take the strategy we use to achieve the result, it can be used for positive outcomes too. Broken down and explored, the scenes we conjure up inside our head; the thoughts we have; the words we say to ourselves and the feelings relating to the experience; we can use just the same for a positive outcome. If we can expect negative results, we can expect positive results too.

Our hypnosis CD and MP3 recordings, such as, public speaking and sports enhancement include this way of working with your mind to help achieve the results you desire.

As you’re gently guided through self-hypnosis; you may be asked to picture a scene of what you desire; you may be asked to imagine people are there with you, talking with you; you may be asked to pretend you are going through the experience in your mind. The more comfortable you feel, the easier it will become. The more you practice self-hypnosis, the more likely you are to experience the desired effect.

So, for instance, if you enjoy public speaking, but feel you need to improve your performance. Or, maybe you have never spoken in public before. Then, mental rehearsal, whilst in self-hypnosis can help you to be a confident speaker. Again, the more you practice, the more competent you will become.

The Importance of Ego Strengthening

Our personalities, our interests, values, attitudes, desires all make up our ego – ourselves; they make us who we are and more importantly, who we feel we are and what we feel we are capable of achieving.

We use ego strengthening on all our self-hypnosis downloads because it provides a strong platform or foundation for change.

When someone feels better, or good about themselves, it helps them to improve their life. The more positive thoughts you have about yourself, the more chance you have at being successful.

An example might be, if you were playing golf and you wanted to perfect your swing. Any doubt about your performance, will affect yourself as a person.

You see, all thoughts affect how you feel in someway or another. You think something – anything really – and it links to a chain of thoughts eventually relating to a feeling. Where is that feeling? It is inside you isn’t it? Not outside.

So, if you feel bad thoughts, you will eventually have bad feelings. Then, you may not think you are as good at something as you first wished you could be.

Therefore, if you have a stronger outlook upon yourself and feel you are worth making the effort and feel you actually really have potential. Your body will feel that too.

Our self-hypnosis downloads help you to build those inner strengths, feel good about you are your potential, so you have that more solid foundation for change.

There’s No Such Thing as Failure, Only Feedback

Years ago, when I first started my studies one of the most valuable things I learned was there is no such thing as failure – only feedback.

Feelings of failure can be a stumbling block to moving on with virtually anything. When I made mistakes or couldn’t do something the right way; I started to find the process very interesting.

It’s all so simple really, if you fall off a bike, how many times do you try to get back on it the same way? Or, do you start to realise there is a different way to ride a bike. Do you keep putting your foot on the peddle to go backwards or do you realise after a few attempts, it’s better to go forwards? And, do you keep running into a brick wall, if you bang your head each time?

Basically, if you make a mistake in life, learn from it!

If you don’t yet know how to do that, self-hypnosis can really help with the process of change. It helps you to let go of past hurts, however small, learn from the experience and move on with your life.
